Livingston sits in the heart of Essex County, a built-up suburban town of established residential neighborhoods, mid-20th-century homes from the post-war building boom, and newer custom construction spread out between Route 10 and the quieter side streets. Many of those older properties came with trees that have now had decades to mature, and a large shade tree that looked perfect in 1965 can become a serious concern half a century later. That is where Beyond The Leaf Tree & Shrub Experts, LLC comes in, and you can reach our team.
We have been serving Central New Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania since 2012, and in that time we have worked on just about every kind of tree and property you will find in this part of the state. Our staff includes certified arborists, so when we look at your yard we are not guessing. We are reading the tree.
Most homeowners call about removal or trimming, but the smartest place to begin is often plant health care. A tree that is fed, watched, and treated before problems spread will stand longer and cost you less over the years. And in a humid continental climate like Livingston’s, with hot, sticky summers and cold winters that bring hard freezes and snow, plants face real stress across the seasons.
Here is the problem: pests and disease do not wait for a convenient time. The Emerald Ash Borer alone has wiped out ash trees across northern New Jersey, and once it takes hold, the window to act is short. Our plant health care and lawn care work includes:
The good news is that catching an issue early often means treatment instead of removal. That is a better outcome for your property and your wallet, and it keeps the mature canopy that makes established neighborhoods near West Orange, Roseland, and Millburn feel the way they do.
Of course, some trees are already past saving, or they are simply in the wrong place. A dead limb hanging over a driveway near the Livingston Town Center or a leaning trunk close to a home off Interstate 280 needs professional attention, not a ladder and a hopeful weekend. Our tree services cover the full range:
Trimming and pruning are the everyday work that keeps trees strong and safe, while cabling and bracing can support a valuable tree that has developed a weak point. And when a tree cannot be saved, our stump grinding leaves you with usable ground instead of an eyesore.
Northern New Jersey gets its share of rough weather. Summer thunderstorms roll through, and every so often a nor’easter drops heavy wet snow on branches that were already carrying too much weight. The reality is that trees fail at the worst possible times, often overnight or during the storm itself.
That is why we offer 24/7 emergency storm damage response. If a tree comes down on your property, or a large limb is threatening your roof or a car, call us and we will move. Livingston is home to Saint Barnabas Medical Center and sits within commuting distance of Newark and New York City, so we understand that people here need their driveways clear and their homes safe without delay.
There are plenty of outfits with a chainsaw and a truck. What sets us apart is credentials that actually mean something. We are TCIA Accredited and a member of the ISA, and the arborists on our staff have earned their certifications through real study and testing. The catch with tree work is that mistakes are expensive and dangerous, so the experience behind the crew matters as much as the equipment on the truck.
Our regular hours are Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm and Saturday from 8am to 2pm. We are closed on Sunday, though our emergency line stays open around the clock.
Whether you need a hazardous tree assessed, a stump ground out, or a plant health care plan to protect your ash trees, we are ready to help. Call Beyond The Leaf Tree & Shrub Experts and let a certified arborist take a look at your property.
